Wpływ sytuacji kryzysowych na przeżywanie wiary jako wyzwania dla teologii i katechetyki

During various crisis situations, two main ways of reacting are the increase in religiosity through increased participation in religious celebrations, on the other hand, some people turn away from faith. Crisis situations cause an increase in emotional and existential needs, which in some causes an attempt to satisfy them through increased religiosity, in others, the feeling that religious faith is not sufficient, or even satisfies these needs in an illusory way. The aim of the paper is to identify the causes and to explain the psychological mechanisms behind these behaviors. Identification of psychological sources of faith crises can be used to consolidate increased religiosity in some and return to faith in others, which is a challenge today in catechetical and pastoral work.
