Stosunek Polski do polityki bezpieczeństwa Unii Europejskiej
In the article the author analyses Poland’s attitude to building and development of European military forces. Poland expressed its involvement in the development of the EU's military capabilities by declaring to create, together with Germany, Slovakia, Lithuania and Latvia, the EU Battlegroup by 2010. Poland is responsible for the organization of the forces’ leadership and the battle element of the group. Poland is in position that the development of the EU’s military capabilities would allow the EU to participate in the efforts of the international community towards the maintenance of peace and security and at the same time it would not have a negative influence on the position and operational capabilities of NATO. Poland as a member of the EU takes an active part in building Europe’s safety and fostering stability in this region. The support of the development of the ESDP lies in Poland’s interest.
