The article presents selected issues related to the analysis of the information exchange in air transport networks and systems. Restraints and weaknesses of current ICT systems used in Air Traffic Management were taken into consideration and analyzed. Taken into account was the conception of modifying today’s point-to-point architecture, within the scope of information exchange, into the system of information exchange between the users of aeronautical fixed networks, by the use of Service-Oriented Architecture.
