Potential yield increase is defined as the difference between real value of the yield and yield calculated using wheather - yield model with substitution the optimum of the precipitation and the air temperature for real sum of precipitation and real average air temperature. The regression equations used in the analyssis were worked out for six phenological stations situated in three different climatic zones of Poland and situated on different types of soils - from the light to heavy ones.
