Dvorská kultura přemyslovského období. Nástin problematiky a možnosti výzkumu

The paper deals not only with the definition of a “partial court“ of a medieval ruler, but it also monitors the chronological development of the court environment, the manifestation of the so called courtly culture up until the time when the Premyslid dynasty died out. In the first part called The Royal Court in Chronological Development the study focuses on the household of the ruler and his family. Servants who ran the household and in fact the whole court were also observed. Beside them there were various secular and clerical groups of people who helped the ruler manage the country, i.e. execute the judicial, executive and administrative powers. The second part of the study monitors the manifestations of courtly culture and courtly chivalric culture namely before the end of the 12th century and its development in the following century when it was distinctly manifested by tournaments and courtly epic or lyric works.
