ANALÝZA UKRAJINSKEJ MIGRAČNEJ KRÍZY Z PERSPEKTÍVY SÚČASNÝCH MIGRAČNÝCH TEÓRIÍ

The paper examines the issue of Ukrainian migration since Ukraine's independence and the Ukrainian migration crisis that arose as a result of the Russian Federation's military invasion of Ukraine in 2022, from the perspective of contemporary migration theories. The crisis that led to mass population movements is analysed through theories of push and pull factors, migration networks, dual labour markets, the new economics of labour migration, the world system, and cumulative causes. The text reveals the deep connections between local conflicts and global economic and social processes, with particular attention to structural inequalities between periphery and core countries. The analysis highlights the importance of international cooperation, the need to support the reintegration of migrants and the development of inclusive migration policies that reflect the needs of refugees. The paper shows that the Ukrainian crisis illustrates not only the complexity of current migration flows, but also the opportunities for improving coping strategies for similar crises in the future. Therefore, the ambition of the text is also to contribute to the theoretical understanding of migration and to provide recommendations for building sustainable solutions in a globalised environment.
