Perspective on the Use of TUEL (Theory Of Experimental Learning) in the Methodology of Polish as a Native Language (L1)
Abstract The purpose of this sketch is to characterise one of the reflective learning methods – Experi- ential Learning Theory. The concept was developed by David Kolb in the 1980s. It is based on the so-called Kolb cycle (a four-part model of reflective learning). The basis for the presenta- tion of this method is the researcher’s latest publication – translated into Polish in 2022 – ‘Learning from Experience’. In addition to presenting Kolb’s latest assumptions, the aim of this sketch is to provide a perspective on their use in the methodology of Polish as a native language (L1) – or rather, in the methodology of grammar. The article also includes a charac- terisation of learning models in Polish language textbooks, which are compared with TUOD. Another important comparative perspective is the achievements of glottodidactics, more spe- cifically the communicative approach.
