Audit Findings Published in December 2013 and in January 2014 In this section, we present the audits which the Supreme Audit Office finished in the given areas and which have been published in the form of pronouncements on audit results. In this issue of our bimonthly, we discuss the following audits: searching, extracting and managing shale gas; preparations of selected municipalities for the new system of waste management; safety of the railway transportation in Poland; controversial issues of the Patent Office of Poland in the years 2010-2012; management of waste produced in municipal sewage treatment plants; execution of the financial plan of the National Health Fund (NFZ).
