RODZINA W PROCESIE WCZESNEGO WSPOMAGANIA ROZWOJU DZIECKA

In Poland, programs for early support of child development are implemented. The aim of those programs is to help disabled children and their families. It is right to believe that in the course of working with a disabled child, the family context should be taken into account, because it is the basic environment of child’s life and development. The article presents the place of the family in the process of early development support, treating it both as a recipient and as a donor of help. In both cases, the family environment is treated as an inseparable element of a disabled child’s life, which can not be overlooked; what is more, child development support programs, taking into account the family environment, turn out to be even more effective than those that assume the stimulation of the child in isolation from the family context.

W Polsce realizuje się programy wczesnego wspomagania rozwoju dziecka, których celem jest pomoc dzieciom niepełnosprawnym oraz ich rodzinom. Słuszne jest przekonanie, że w toku pracy z dzieckiem niepełnosprawnym należy uwzględnić kontekst rodziny, skoro jest ona podstawowym środowiskiem życia i rozwoju dziecka. Artykuł przedstawia miejsce rodziny w procesie wczesnego wspomagania rozwoju, ujmując ją zarówno jako biorcę, jak i dawcę pomocy. W obu tych przypadkach środowisko rodzinne traktowane jest jako nieodłączny element życia chorego dziecka, którego nie można pominąć. Co więcej, programy wspomagania rozwoju dziecka uwzględniające środowisko rodzinne okazują się wręcz być skuteczniejsze od tych, które zakładają stymulację dziecka w oderwaniu od kontekstu rodzinnego.
