The article deals with the problem of professional orientation of future engineers-electricians’ higher mathematics training. The article describes typical tasks of professionally designed electromechanical indicating sections of higher mathematics, the study of which will contribute to solving these problems. An overall structure of professionally designed solutions of problems on higher mathematics for future engineers and electrical engineers is characterized. It is noted that the expansion of higher mathematics learning content for future engineers and electrical engineers with professionally directed tasks takes place through the use of ICT that enable to automate repetitive cumbersome calculations, thereby releasing the learning time. Educational achievements of students are tested by means of the tasks of higher mathematics. Tasks can be directed at different purposes – from testing theoretical knowledge and practical skills to existing competences. In the article the system tasks in accordance with the classification of learning objectives proposed by B. Bloom are highlighted. According to AFP, EQC, model program of the discipline «Higher Mathematics» of modern ICT and considering the established links between higher math disciplines and professional and practical training, production functions, typical tasks, training content of higher mathematics is presented in the work program of the discipline «Higher Mathematics». It is concluded that academic discipline “Higher Mathematics” is the basis for the study of many science and engineering disciplines. Formed competencies are used at studying such disciplines, as physics, control theory, electrical engineering, and the like. The research does not exhaust all the aspects of the research problem. The continuation of research on this subject is useful in the following directions: development of theoretical and methodological bases of professional orientation of teaching mathematics the students of technical universities.
