Thus, the involvement of religious leaders in fostering concern for the environment could be a vital factor bringing about changes in people’s attitudes toward the environment. Furthermore, religions are helpful in analyzing the causes of the ecological crisis; they strengthen the case for environmental protection, and engage in environmental projects and lobbying for the environment.
