Właściwe pojmowanie zagrożeń i ich źródeł w sensie defi nicyjnym jest istotne, aby prawidłowo stosować te pojęcia w sferze bezpieczeństwa w różnych sektorach i systemach. Autor proponuje rozumienie tych pojęć według ściśle określonego paradygmatu, polegającego na wyodrębnieniu nieabstrakcyjnych źródeł zagrożeń, z których liniowo wynikają różne zagrożenia. Należy więc postrzegać zagrożenia jako zdarzenia niekorzystne, które wynikają z konkretnych źródeł. Słuszność postulowanych koncepcji autor testuje na przykładzie bezpieczeństwa operacji lotniczych w lotnictwie ogólnym.

Proper understanding of threats and their sources in the defi nitional sense is important to correctly apply these concepts in the sphere of safety in various sectors and systems. The author proposes to understand these concepts according to a strictly defi ned paradigm, consisting in the separation of not abstract sources of threats, which linearly result in various threats. Therefore, threats should be perceived as unfavorable events that result from specifi c sources. The author tests the correctness of the postulated concepts on the example of the safety of air operations in general aviation.
