The article presents the way public administration authorities proceed in the event that an appeal affected by formal defects is lodged in general administrative proceedings. In this situation the authority is under obligation to summon a party to fulfil the formal requirements within seven days’ time on the stipulation that the appeal shall be left without hearing. The formal requirements can by complied with in the authority’s office or via traditional or electronic mail. The formal requirements can by complied with in any form on the condition that the party will perform procedural action properly. Not fulfilling formal requirements or fulfilling them with the infringement of time limit causes negative procedural consequences.
