The economic development of the Masovian Voivodeship (Province) depends to an enormous extent on the condition of small and medium-sized enterprises. Take care of them must not only entrepreneurs trying to introduce changes in their firms but also the state assisting in introduction of innovative solutions or finance, to a greater degree, outlays on their development. In her article, the author indicated the need to search by Masovian small and medium entrepreneurs for sources of competitive advantage in the market. There are necessary here systems measures in order to stimulate that development and to set forth a friendly environment to run enterprises, which is to facilitate their emergence and operation.
