Autorka prezentowanego tekstu stawia główne pytanie o sposoby obecności w pedagogice zagadnień związanych z ideałami i celami wychowania. Próbuje również odpowiedzieć na pytania o zasadność oraz możliwości uobecniania ideałów i celów wychowania w myśleniu teoretyków i działaniu praktyków wychowania. Artykuł jest próbą obrony tezy o potrzebie stanowienia ideałów wychowawczych w odniesieniu do samych wychowawców, którzy urzeczywistniając je we własnym życiu, dają wychowankom możliwość ich krytycznej oceny oraz podjęcia trudu szukania ideału i sensu własnej egzystencji.

The primary question posed by the author of this article concerns the ways in which issues related to education ideals and aims are present in pedagogy. It also at-tempts to address the plausibility and possibility of introducing these ideals and aims to the reflection of educational theorists and the practices of educators. This work de-fends the thesis that there is a need to apply education ideals to educators who, by im-plementing them in their lives, provide their students with the opportunity to critically assess these ideals and understand their significance
