Ochrona informacji niejawnych wymienianych w interesie Unii Europejskiej

The matter under consideration is the protection of classified information in the EU, i.e. the protection of classified information exchanged in the interests of the EU. The article looks at the origin of preparing the agreement between the Member States of the European Union, meeting within the Council, regarding the Protection of Classified Information Exchanged in the Interests of the European Union, dated 4 May 2011. It goes on to analyse the provisions of the agreement (14 articles), highlighting the definition of „classified information”, the principles regarding: protection and access, and cases of a breach of the provisions of the agreement, as well as the relationship between the agreement and the member states’ legal regulations.
