LABOR MIGRATION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC: AN ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE EU 2004 ENLARGEMENT
This paper studies the immigration to Czech Republic after the EU Enlargement in 2004. It provides a description of the current structure, recent trends and incentives for immigration. Empirical estimations suggest that the level of labor immigration is dependent mainly on GDP per capita and the unemployment rate. They also imply that although the number of foreign workers was rising since 2005, the impact of joining the EU is probably only indirect.
