Bazy danych o starych drukach, problemy tworzenia i organizacji pracy

This paper considers the variety of pressures on Polish libraries for computer application in the field of data processing for old book collections. Four points of view are under consideration: 1) strategy for the choice of collections or the old print units foedata processing during the first stage of the computer application; 2) methods of description, especially the levels of details for different purposes; 3) unification of bibliographical sources for idetification of the old prints; 4) cooperation with abroad libraries. As a suggestion for the last one author proposes a participation in the ESTC - British Library in London.
