Organizacja i funkcjonowanie nadzoru nad „pionem propagandowym” w centralnych strukturach PZPR w latach 1948–1956

The research attempts to shed light on the supervision of the so-called propaganda department in the central structures of the Polish United Workers’ Party (PZPR) between 1948 and 1956. The comprehensive analysis allows for the formulation of an opinion that the greatest influence on propaganda policy and mass media activity was exerted by the departments of the Central Committee of the PZPR, to which direct control over the functioning of the press and radio was assigned. The personnel policy carried out by the top leadership of the PZPR emerged as one of the most important supervisory instruments.

W badaniach podjęto próbę przybliżenia funkcjonowania nadzoru nad tzw. pionem propagandowym w centralnych strukturach PZPR w latach 1948–1956. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła na sformułowanie opinii, że największy wpływ na politykę propagandową i działalność mass mediów wywierały wydziały KC PZPR, którym została przypisana bezpośrednia kontrola nad funkcjonowaniem prasy i radia, a jednym z najważniejszych instrumentów nadzorczych stała się prowadzona przez ścisłe kierownictwo PZPR polityka kadrowa.
