Pobieranie podatku pogłównego w Prusach Królewskich w latach 1717–1772

This article discusses the tax reforms of the so-called Silent Sejm of 1717; the imposition in Royal Prussia of the new poll tax; the methods of collecting this tax from rural settlements and towns; and the possibility of coercion by individual military units collecting the poll tax intended for their upkeep.

Artykuł omawia reformy podatkowe tzw. sejmu niemego z 1717 r., objęcie Prus Królewskich nowym podatkiem – pogłównym, sposoby wybierania tego podatku z osad wiejskich i z miast oraz możliwości użycia przymusu przez poszczególne jednostki wojskowe pobierające pogłówne przeznaczone na ich utrzymanie.
