Integracja krajów regionu Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej: potencjał i priorytety na światowych rynkach

The Russia-Ukraine war, which was aggressively and without any provocations unleashed by the Russian Federation, in its content acts as a totalitarian war against world democracy. It will lead to a radical economic and political restructuring, especially on the European continent. One of the essential components of such a restructuring will be the formation of a new phenomenon of the European Regional Policy and regional studies – multilateral integration cooperation of the Central-Eastern European and Baltic countries consisting of Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. In the article, in the context of the evolution of the formation of the theory of international integration on an interdisciplinary basis, the main prerequisites for the comprehensive cooperation of these countries are revealed. Among them stand out: the centuries-old coexistence within the framework of two confederate states – the First Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania; advantageous geographical position; the proximity of national business cultures and quite significant economic potential within one of the largest associations in the world – the European Union. The main directions of integration of the countries of the selected region in the system of world markets for goods and services are determined: energy market; market of transport and logistics services; agricultural market; engineering market; information technology market, and cooperation in the field of market infrastructure. In the most priority areas that are critical for the whole of Europe and – on a global scale: cooperation in the energy market, the market of transport and logistics services and the agricultural market, the latest phenomena and processes of global and European politics and economics were analyzed, which increase the competitive position of the group under consideration countries of the Central-East European and Baltic region.

Można przypuszczać, że wojna rosyjsko-ukraińska doprowadzi do nowej konfiguracji wzajemnych relacji w gospodarczej i politycznej sytuacji wielu krajów europejskich. Przyczyni się to do szybkiego powstawania sojuszy strategicznych pomiędzy krajami sąsiadującymi, o podobnych kulturach narodowych i „uzupełniającym” się potencjale. Region Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej wydaje się dobrym przykładem takiego integracji. W kontekście tworzenia takiego sojuszu nasuwają się pytania o jego trwałość, przesłanki, korzyści i potencjalne zagrożenia. Autorzy tego opracowania odnoszą się do przesłanek tworzenia sojuszu krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej i jego potencjalnej słuszności i trwałości (z perspektywy historycznej, geograficznej, surowcowej, logistyczno-transportowej).
