O tłumaczeniu poezji regularnej (problemy techniki translatorskiej)

The paper deals with the relationships between the formal regularity in translated poems and their semantics. The author advocates the thesis that the most often used method by translators is replacing non-metaphorical and metaphorical expressions by to some extent equivalent forms of metonymy and synecdoche. This technique makes it possible to reconstruct the rhythm and rhyme of the original text. This claim is illustrated by fragments of Polish poems translated into Russian, Russian/English texts and their Polish/Russian equivalents.

Artykuł poświęcony jest relacji poiędzy formalną regularnością wiersza a jego semantyką w tłumaczeniu. Autor stawia tezę, że najczęściej używaną techniką zmierzającą do zachowania równowagi między dążeniem do regularmości i semantyką wiersza w przekładzie jest metaforyczne (etafora właściwa, synekdocha, metonimia) przekształcanie tekstu. Techniki te umożliwiają rekonstruowanie ryu i rytmu oryginału w przekładzie. Twierdzenie to ilustrowane jest tłumaczeniami poesji polskiej na język rosyjski i rosyjskiej/angielskiej na język polski.
