The article is a description of the participation in the work on the creation of the performance The Anatomy Lesson – reconfiguration (Lekcja anatomii – rekonfiguracja) directed by Agata Skwarczyńska. The perspective proposed in the script is of a participant observation in nature and includes not only the interpretation of the main assumptions of the performance, but also the description of the workshop activities preceding the show. The author draws attention to the critical attempt at a dialogue with the masterful, avant-garde, highly artistic model of art (as perceived by Kantor himself) undertaken in the project as well as the ambivalence inherent in the anatomical gesture of the dissecting of matter, and also the creative aspect of the unruly, „imperfect” body of actors and actresses with disabilities.
