Specificities of livestock insurance: with reference to the tourism sector
This article aims to shed light on the insurance sector by identifying the specificities of agricultural and tourism projects within the framework of a comparative study, this in relation to the management of agricultural risks in Algeria, and more precisely within the national insurance company. This is not considered to be limited to insurance companies alone, because each financial institution holds its share in this process. The literature review always links risk management to the topic of insurance because of the link of this cycle with project insurance. Especially since agricultural sector insurance is an important link in food security and is not only commercial in nature. Through a literature review, there is a significant research gap related to the study of insurance policies in the agricultural and tourism sectors. This will help to understand the process of taking out these types of insurance. This study showed that the composition of livestock production project investments is very close to that of tourism projects, notwithstanding the existence of a fundamental sectoral difference, which makes the insurer's relations with livestock similar to tourism. The agricultural sector being the cornerstone of food security. As a future perspective, it is possible to open an academic discussion angle around the proposal of insurance products that are mainly agricultural in nature, unlike those that are currently. Which are closer to tourism than agriculture.
