Los Congresos Internacionales de Americanistas, 1895-2003

This article, originally published as a chapter in the book Filozofia Poznawania Ameryki (Philosophy of Cognition of America) in 2006, has been translated by the journal Ameryka Łacińska in order to popularise knowledge of the history of the scientific movement associated with the International Congresses of Americanists (ICA) and on the occasion of the forthcoming 58th ICA, to be held this year in Novi Sad, Serbia. It presents a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the development of the Americanist Congresses, which began in 1875 in Nancy, France.

El presente artículo, publicado originalmente como capítulo del libro Filozofia Poznawania Ameryki (Filosofía del Conocer de América) en 2006, fue traducido por la revista Ameryka Łacińska con el fin de popularizar el conocimiento sobre la historia del movimiento científico vinculado a los Congresos Internacionales de Americanistas (ICA), y con motivo del próximo 58º ICA, que se celebrará este año 2025 en Novi Sad (Serbia). Constituye un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de la evolución de los Congresos Americanistas, iniciados en 1875 en Nancy (Francia).
