Measurements of volume and fractional anisotropy of the rat brain made with magnetic resonance imaging 2 weeks and 10 weeks after neonatal hypoxia-ischemia
In the study we evaluated the changes in the volume and fractional anisotropy (FA) of selected brain regions of control animals and animals exposed to neonatal hypoxia ischemia with the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Measurements were performed 2 weeks and 10 weeks after the injury.
The file contains the values obtained after processing the raw data from T2-weighted images (for whole-brain structure volumetry), and DTI scans (for calculating FA) according to the protocol provided in the Methods section in the linked paper [Janowska et al.; Brain Pathology; 2024].
In the provided data: S3, S7 were the names of control animals; S4, S5, S6 were the names of HI animals; L, R refers to the left and right hemisphere; TP1, TP2 refers to time point 1 (2 weeks after HI) and time point 2 (10 weeks after HI). Animal S4 had left hemisphere hypoxic (H) and right hemisphere hypoxic-ischemic (HI), whereas animals S5 and S6 had right hemisphere hypoxic (H) and left hemisphere hypoxic-ischemic (HI). Results of the analyses of the data are presented in Figure 2 in the linked paper [Janowska et al.; Brain Pathology; 2024].
