Ecotoxicity assessment of solutions exposed to heterogeneous rhenium-based catalysts
The colletion contains a set of data related to evaluation of ecotoxicity of media contacted with rhenium-based catalysts applied for the catalytic hydrogenation of nitroaromatic compounds.
The exotoxicity included the tests on seed germination and microtoxic properties towards aquatic organisms. The evaluation covered assessing the potential toxic impact of rhenium nanoparticles, heterogenous catalysts loaded with rhenium nanoparticles as well as nitroaromatic compounds subjected to reduction processes over these catalysts.
The set includes:
- the results of catalysts' impact on Sorghum saccharatum, Lepidium sativum, and Sinapis alba seeds germination.
- Photographs of sprouts germinated in 3 independed batches
- Toxicity results towards Vibrio fisheri.
The research was carried out within Sonata 16 project (UMO-2020/39/D/ST8/01352) granted by National Science Center (Poland). Aim of the project is to develop new generation of catalysts loaded with rhenium nanoparticles. As a part of this research, the development of anion exchange resins selective towards rhenium is covered.
