Research on the modified Extended Luenberger Observer for current sensor fault-tolerant control of the induction motor drive
These research results concern the concept of applying the Extended Luenberger Observer (ELO) with additional estimation of rotor resistance for the implementation of the current sensor (CS) fault-tolerant control of induction motor drive. Additionally, a modification of the ELO has been implemented to enhance the quality of the stator current estimation, even in the case of a faulty CS. The study investigates the quality of stator current estimation in the absence of faults or in the case of a fault occurring in one of the two CSS. The simulation results confirm the high effectiveness of the proposed solution on a wide range of speed variations.
