Research on thermally active wood-based composites for furniture and interior design
The data collected during the realization of the project supported by the Ministry of Education and Science under the call "Student science groups create innovations", agreement no. SKN/SP/568714/2023.
The main issues to address during project realization include the method of integrating the thermally active ingredient into the particles or fibers and the selection of a suitable binder to hold the lignocellulosic materials and thermoactive additive together. The pressing technique, largely determined by the type of binder used, will impact production efficiency and may be constrained by the added thermoactive material. When testing the produced composites, it has been confirmed that the positive thermal effects of the modification have been achieved while ensuring that the mechanical and physical properties of the composites remain intact.
