Files include the data presented in the manuscript entitled: "Basic principles for biosurfactant-assisted (bio)remediation of soils
contaminated by heavy metals and petroleum hydrocarbons – A critical
evaluation of the performance of rhamnolipids" by Parus et al. (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jhazmat.2022.130171).
The purpose of this review is to highlight and indicate which issues should be considered in order to achieve effective biodegradation or phytoextraction of soils contaminated with heavy metals and petroleum hydrocarbons without harmful side effects. Four main topics are explained the effective concentration of rhamnolipids in soil, their potential phytotoxicity, biodegradability and interactions with soil. Biodegradation and interactions with soil microorganisms.
