The paper presents problems connected with cardiac pacemakers exposed to electromagnetic fields generated by mobile phone systems. The authors concentrate on the influence of hand terminals (literature survey) and base antennas (own research). The research procedure of the latter has been described in detail. The results of research and hints for safe Osage of cardiac pacemakers have been presented.
