Demokracje, internet i przestrzeń publiczna

The shape of a city reflects its culture. The democratic city has evolved over time and produced different public space typologies. We typically imagine democracy as an abstract concept that has not changed over time or space. It is a good practice to question and not to take democracy for granted: the kind of democracy we practise has a great impact on the spaces we inhabit in our cities. For the purposes of this essay, I can think of at least three types of democracies with at least three spatial morphological characteristics.
