Rola benchmarkingu w ocenie zarządzania strategicznego samorządów lokalnych

Jedną z metod zarządzania jednostkami samorządu terytorialnego jest benchmarking, który umożliwia doskonalenie organizacji na zasadzie uczenia się od najlepszych. Może być skutecznie stosowany przez różne typy organizacji, w zasadzie we wszystkich obszarach ich funkcjonowania. To powoduje, że metoda ta jest często wykorzystywana w zarządzaniu organizacjami. W artykule podjęto rozważania na temat roli benchmarkingu w ocenie zarządzania strategicznego samorządów lokalnych. Na tle wybranych aspektów teoretycznych opisywanego zagadnienia przeprowadzono analizę benchmarkingową w zakresie oceny działań strategicznych samorządów lokalnych w Polsce.

One of the methods for managing local government units is benchmarking, which allows the improvement of the organization on the principle of learning from the best. It can be used with success by various types of organisations basically in all areas of their functioning. This causes that this method is often used in management of organizations. The article elaborates on the role of benchmarking in the evaluation of strategic management of local governments. Against the background of some theoretical aspects of the described issues conducted a benchmarking exercise in the evaluation of strategic activities of local governments in Poland.
