Sourcing usług i procesów informatycznych jako czynnik wzrostu innowacyjności organizacji
Decision-making and implementation of IT sourcing models is an interesting area
of both theoretical and practical study of IT management (including IT project management).
This is related to a number of significant problems, such as:
–– knowledge management in organizations, in particular data protection and information
security management systems,
–– development and improvement of IT,
–– the influence of IT sourcing relationship on innovation and increase of the competitiveness
of enterprises.
This article concerns the management of relationships with suppliers of IT services in
the context of enhancing the innovative capacity of the organization. The author argues that
the use of adequate models in the area of IT sourcing and proper management of the sourcing
relationship may contribute to the increased innovation of IT processes and services and processes
supported by IT, and thus may affect the growth of the competitive advantage of the
organization. The paper analyzes the factors and barriers that organizations may face in the
context of building relationships to share knowledge and creating innovative solutions on the
basis of analysis of the sources of literature and own observations of the author. Moreover, the
author tries to point out the potential that lies in the collaboration with IT service providers, if
it is done knowingly and with the involvement of all stakeholders.
