„Żeby coś uratować, trzeba najpierw to zauważyć”. Myśl ekologiczna w trylogii przyrodoznawczej
This article is an analysis of the artistic (dramaturgical, visual, choreographic and sonic) strategies used by director Weronika Szczawińska and her collaborators (Piotr Wawer jr, Agata Maszkiewicz and Marta Szypulska) in the three performances that make up the natural-science trilogy, i.e. A Conversation about Trees (Rozmowa o drzewach, 2019), The Urban Birder (Miejski ptasiarz, 2020), and Mushrooms (Grzyby, 2022). Referring, among other things, to the theory of the three ecologies formulated by Félix Guattari, the author analyses the way in which non-human nature is presented on stage and how the different strategies create the audience experience. The main points of the article include the statement that Szczawińska uses the anthropocentrism of theatre as a cultural device to transcend the traditional perception of non-human nature, and that the strategies she uses to make nature present in theatre raise awareness of its acute absence in the conditions of an artistic event.
