Stan sanitarny lasów Karpat Pokucko-Bukowińskich i czynniki jego pogorszenia
The analysis of negative external factors impacting the general sanitary state of forests enables the identification of leading factors that significantly influence disease occurrence and the accelerated dieback of woody plants in forests. This understanding facilitates timely measures to manage their spread. The forests of the Pokut-Bukovynian Carpathians are currently in a poor sanitary condition and exhibit moderate degradation. Although the damage and lesions are currently localized, they are dynamic and evolving. Among the phytopathogens that weaken Picea abies, Abies alba, and Fagus sylvatica, notable species include Lelliottia nimipressuralis (the causative agent of bacterial wetwood), Melampsorella cerastii (the causative agent of fir ulcer-tumorous disease), and a complex of wood-destroying fungi, including Heterobasidion annosum, Armillaria mellea, Phellinus hartigii, Fomes fomentarius, and Fomitopsis pinicola.
