Formation of Pre-School Age Children’s Imagination by Artistic Activity

The aim of my research was an attempt to determine the effect of painting techniques used in the process of artistic education in the preschool child in the process of shaping the child’s artistic imagination. So the object of research revolves around themes of imagination and a variety of artistic techniques used in preschool education. The study involved a group of 20 five and six year-olds. Art classes using a variety of artistic techniques were held once a week for two months. During the first class we used “re-creation” tool, children’s paints and brushes, painted on white cards. Subsequent courses were based on artistic techniques using the following tools: thread, sticks, fingers, sponges, balloons, water. At the last meeting, the children were able to choose their own artistic tools from those who have had the opportunity to experience. During the analysis of the studies I focused mainly on the selection of children’s issues, whether based on a simplistic perception of the world, or creative and detached from reality.
