Dorpackie listy Jana Baudouina de Courtenay do Jana Karłowicza z lat 1887–1891, część I

The correspondence presented here includes four letters and two postcards from 1887–1888, sent by Jan Baudouin de Courtenay to Jan Karłowicz. This correspondence concerns the Dorpat period of the life of Baudouin de Courtenay and his family. The main topics are: (1) the stay of the Karłowicz family’s eldest son, Edmund, as a boarder at the home of the Baudouin family; (2) scholarly and other relations at Dorpat University and in Dorpat. The edition retains the original notation, including repetitions, crossings out and additions, which – as one can assume – will provide insight into the idiolect of Jean Baudouin de Courtenay. The second part of the correspondence, including seven letters and fourteen postcards, will be published in Acta Baltica-Slavica in 2025.

Zaprezentowana tu korespondencja obejmuje cztery listy i dwie karty pocztowe z lat 1887–1888, wysłane przez Jana Baudouina de Courtenay do Jana Karłowicza. Korespondencja ta dotyczy dorpackiego etapu życia Baudouina de Courtenay i jego rodziny. Główne tematy to: 1) pobyt na stancji u Baudouinów najstarszego syna Karłowiczów – Edmunda; 2) relacje naukowe i pozanaukowe na Uniwersytecie Dorpackim i w Dorpacie. W edycji zachowano oryginalny zapis, w tym powtórzenia, przekreślenia i dopiski, co – jak można założyć – da wgląd do idiolektu Jana Baudouina de Courtenay. Druga część korespondencji, obejmująca siedem listów i czternaście kart pocztowych, ukaże się w „Acta Baltica-Slavica” w 2025 roku.
