Muzeum Książki Miniaturowej w Baku

Artykuł prezentuje historię i współczesną działalność Muzeum Książki Miniaturowej w Baku, stolicy Azerbejdżanu. Instytucja ta powstała na bazie prywatnych zbiorów azerbejdżańskiej bibliofilki Zərifə Salahovej. Rozrastający się od 1982 roku zbiór 30 lat później został udostępniony dla publiczności i przeszedł pod opiekę państwa już w niepodległym Azerbejdżanie. Choć znaczną część zbiorów stanowią dzieła w języku azerbejdżańskim, a także rosyjskim, to nie brak wydawnictw w innych językach, także w polskim. Muzeum posiada 3 lokalne filie: w Nachiczewanie, Gandży i Szeki. Komunikat uzupełnia cykl artykułów na temat instytucji księgofilskich w Baku opublikowanych w „Biuletynie Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej”.

The article presents the history and current activities of the Miniature Book Museum in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. This institution was founded on the basis of the private collections of the Azerbaijani bibliophile Zərifə Salahova. The collection, which had been growing since 1982, was opened to the public 30 years later and came under the state protection in independent Azerbaijan. Although a significant part of the collection consists of works in Azerbaijani and Russian, there are also publications in other languages, including Polish. The museum has three local branches: in Nakhchivan, Ganja and Sheki. The text complements the information on book-loving institutions in Baku published in the “Biuletyn Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej”.
