The paper presents the basic characteristic of Domaniów reservoir. There is present the impact of the reservoir on the level of ecological values of the cross-border areas of three districts, where the reservoir is located. The paper also shows the costs and benefi ts resulting from the water investment which appeared with building the water reservoir and potential costs and benefi ts being able to appear in the future.
