Police Management Methods According to Larry Greiners Growth Model

The article analyses and interprets Larry Greiner’s model in order to assess the current stage of development of the police as an organisation. An attempt has also been made to find analogies between the management system of police structures and the evolutionary and revolutionary stages presented in the model, including the crises occurring therein and the management methods applied.The elements of history, structure, size and tasks of the police have been presented in a balanced manner, which forms the basis for a more complete understanding of the problem discussed in the paper.

W artykule, przeanalizowano model rozwoju organizacji Larrego Greinera w celu wskazania i zinterpretowania w tym kontekście obecnego etapu rozwoju Policji jako organizacji. Podjęto także próbę znalezienia analogii pomiędzy systemem zarządzania strukturami Policji a ewolucyjnymi i rewolucyjnymi etapami prezentowanymi w modelu, w tym także występującymi w nim kryzysami i wykorzystywanymi metodami zarządzania. W skompensowany sposób zaprezentowano elementy organizacji Policji w zakresie historii, struktury, wielkości i zadań, co stworzyło podstawę do pełniejszego zrozumienia podjętego w artykule problemu.
