Term "digital history" first appeared in the late 90’s of the twentieth century due to Edward L. Ayers from Virginia Center for Digital History, who noticed the changes in teaching and scientific publishing arising under the influence of an increasing use of new technologies. Over time, the definition has begun to include more and more as well as more accurate range of issues. The title of this publication and the symposium – History 2.0 – refers to the "Internet 2.0" characterized by a prosumption of information by the involved users [...] Anyone who will reach and read this book, will see the new face of the historical discipline in all its aspects: from research tools, through criticism of sources, up to the findings presentation, or forms of a scientific and popularizing publication.
