Artykuł porusza kwestię aktywności emerytowanych nauczycielek przez pryzmat ich rozwoju zawodowego w czasie aktywności zawodowej. Interesujące wydało się opisanie, jakie znaczenie dla nauczycielek będących na emeryturze miała aktywność i rozwój zawodowy i jaki ma ona sens w kreowaniu aktualnej aktywności, preferowanym stylu życia. W badaniach wykorzystano metodę wywiadu biograficznego. W konkluzjach wskazano, jaki sens ma aktywność całożyciowa człowieka dla jego rozwoju na każdym etapie życia i jakie wnioski płyną dla praktyki edukacyjnej w tym zakresie.

The article focuses on th e activity of retired female teachers through the prism of their professional development in time of their professional activity. It seemed interesting to describe what meaning of the professional activity and development for the retired female teacher was and how does it make sense in the crea tion of the current activity, the preferred lifestyle. The method of biographical interview was used in the study. The conclusions indicated what is the sense of the whole-life human activity for his development in the every stage of life and what are the proposals to educational practice in this area.
