Twórcze fascynacje występkiem na przykładzie „anielskogłowych hipsterów”
Transgressive, sometimes literally referred to as criminal (taking into consideration some dark events of W. S. Burroughs’ life) activities of “angel-headed hipsters” (A. Ginsberg) is interpreted in relation to Howard Becker’s concept of outsiders and Ronald B. Kitaj’s manifestos (First Diasporist Manifesto, Second Diasporist Manifesto). In addition, the analysis includes Burroughs’ graphic and linguistic experiments, namely the cut-up technique which constitutes a perfect metaphor for the contemporary culture of sampling, quotation and – not always legal – borrowing.
