Dyżurna feministka. Dlaczego i jak polskie pisarki czytają Elfriede Jelinek
Elfriede Jelinek, an icon of ecriture feminine, is very popular among modern Polish female writers. Her works are often quoted or referred to by: Filipiak, Keff, Bator, Chutnik und Drotkiewicz. However, the depth of the reception of Jelinek in Poland is quite shallow. Only three of her many works are popular: The Piano Teacher, Women as Lovers, and Wonderful, Wonderful Times. This paper not only attempts to answer why Jelinek’s work is connected to so many refractions, but how both the political and historical situation affects Polish women writers today.
