Maria Montessori’s Pedagogical System in the Light of Alumni Opinion and Empirical Research. “Schools on the Move”

This article presents the results of an extensive, current study on the opinions of graduates of Montessori schools in Germany. It found, despite the current criticisms, a preponderance of positive opinions. The results were compared with Polish research. The many educational difficulties currently being signaled and the special educational needs of children and young people being diagnosed more and more frequently encourage the use of some of Montessori’s methods and her ideas. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki obszernie zakrojonego, aktualnego studium na temat opinii absolwentów szkół montessoriańskich w Niemczech. Stwierdzono w nim, mimo obecnych uwag krytycznych, przewagę opinii pozytywnych. Wyniki porównano z badaniami polskimi. Sygnalizowane aktualnie liczne trudności wychowawcze i diagnozowane coraz częściej specjalne potrzeby edukacyjne dzieci i młodzieży skłaniają do wykorzystania niektórych metod Montessori i jej przemyśleń. Słuszny wydaje się postulat dotyczący dalszego wnikliwego studiowania spuścizny włoskiej badaczki i praktyka.
