Socjologiczna analiza systemu-świata (cz. 2). Strukturalne ‘trwanie’ systemu-świata

Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie zasad kierujących reprodukcją kapitalistycznej gospodarki-świata, której jesteśmy równocześnie produktami, współtwórcami oraz funkcjonalną częścią. I to zarówno jako jednostki, jak i zbiorowości, w skład których wchodzimy. Aby zrealizować ten zamiar należy przedstawić – wyartykułowane w teorii Immanuela Wallersteina (rozwijanej przez szkołę systemów-światów) – strukturalne uwarunkowania wspomnianego fenomenu, w tym ich epistemologiczne korzenie. Przydatność siatki pojęciowej wypracowanej w ramach omawianego podejścia teoretycznego unaocznić ma próba umieszczenia w jego ramach przyczyn upadku XVIII-wiecznej Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów.

Not only was the word-system model (developed by Fernand Barudel and Immanuel Wallerstein) an eminent and influential conceptual scheme, but, in some sense, a social science paradigm focusing on core processes, peripheric and semipheripheric dependence within economy-world and structural means of the capitalist economy growth. Furthermore, doubtlessly, it successfully undertook to reshape our understanding of the modernity. Just as it had been defined in the first part of the article, the world-system, in the terms of sociological reflection, emerges as an enormously complex, interactive system – vast intersocietal network(s) with all nods connected according to the scale-free pattern (likewise the Internet correspondingly).
