Resting by the stock of 15 sheaves] [An iconographic document

The photo depicts two young people taking rest during a harvest, leaning against a stock of 15 sheaves. In the distance there are some more sheaves of reaped and tied grains. At the bottom of the photo there is a typed inscription saying: “Taking rest by the stock of 15 sheaves of rye after harvest work. The photo taken in 1947. Sitting are the married couple Władysław [Ladislas] and Helena [Helene] (…) in the field of her mother Franciszka [Francis] (…). The photo taken by an amateur photographer /name unknown/ in the filed in the village and the former commune of Grzymkowice, Skierniewice district.”

Zdjęcie przedstawia parę młodych ludzi odpoczywajacych w trakcie żniw, opartych o mendel ze snopków zboża. W tle kolejne snopy, ściętego i powiązanego już zboża. Pod spodem zdjęcia maszynowy podpis : "Odpoczynek pod mendlem żyta po pracy żniwnej. Zdjęcie wykonane w 1947 roku. Siedzą Władysław i Helena małż. (...) na polu matki Franciszki (...). Zdjęcia dokonał foto-amator / nazwisko nie znane/ we wsi i b. gminie Grzymkowice, pow. skierniewickim."
