The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Fotografia przedstawia kobietę z trójką dzieci w różnym wieku. Najmłodsza dziewczynka ubrana jest w białą sukienkę, trzyma w jednej ręce długą świecę, w drugiej modlitewnik. Na głowie ma wianek. Najstarsza dziewczyna, około kilkunastu lat, stoi z tyłu, ubrana w czarną sukienkę z bufiastymi rękawami. Obok niej stoi chłopiec w ciemnej koszuli ze stójką. Kobieta siedzi na krześle, ubrana w ciemną, długa sukienkę. Zdjęcie zrobione z okazji komunii świętej. Wykonane w zakładzie fotograficznym w Świętochłowicach - pod zdjęciem napisy: "Bahnhofstr.3 - E. Pietruschka - Schwientochlowitz",

Standing next to her there is a boy in a shirt with a band collar. The woman is sitting in a chair, dressed in a dark, long dress. The photo was taken on the occasion of the first communion. The photo was taken in a photographic studio in Świętochłowice - there are the following inscriptions underneath: "Bahnhofstr.3 - E. Pietruschka - Schwientochlowitz"
