The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)

The photo depicts a priest sitting in a chair and two children standing on his both sides. On the right there is a boy in a bright suit with a First Communion picture and a candle in his hand; he has a white ribbon pinned to the lapel of his jacket. On the priest’s left side there is a standing girl in a white dress and with white bows in her hair; she is also holding a First Communion picture and a candle in her hand. In the background there is a brick shrine built on a pillar and some lush greenery
